Removing grass and competing vegetation around young trees.
Site-appropriate scarification and preparation of planting positions.
Shaping growing space while retaining the intended young trees.
Filling gaps in an existing forest regeneration area.
A field review of tree condition and sensible next steps.
Fitting mechanical protection to selected young trees.
All rates are per hectare. Care is priced per visit. Cards show VAT-inclusive pricing and the separate base rate excluding VAT. Seedlings, materials and transport are agreed separately.
Planting starts with the site, suitable species and an agreed layout. The baseline covers manual planting on prepared land at approximately 2,000 seedlings per hectare. Exact density and method are confirmed before work begins.
Seedlings, their delivery and soil preparation are outside the planting base rate. Seedlings are supplied by the client or quoted separately.
Transport and any small-site call-out charge are confirmed in the quote.
Cadastral reference or marked map, access, species and seedlings in suitable condition.
The agreed area, layout and workmanship are checked. Survival also depends on weather, wildlife and later maintenance; no fixed survival percentage is promised.
Indicative starting rate. Final area, suitability, taxes and total price are confirmed in the written quote.
Care reduces competition from grass, weeds and unwanted brush around developing trees. The per-hectare rate covers one agreed maintenance visit. Repeat maintenance is a separate operation with its own confirmed area and timing.
Repeat visits, chemical treatment, felling large trees and removal of cut vegetation are excluded.
Transport and any small-site call-out charge are confirmed in the quote.
Location of young trees, area boundaries, known obstacles and safe access.
Removal of competing growth and the condition of retained trees are reviewed. New growth may make a later maintenance visit necessary.
Indicative starting rate. Final area, suitability, taxes and total price are confirmed in the written quote.
Preparation makes planting positions clearer and supports the next stage of work. The method depends on soil, moisture, terrain and planned species. The base rate assumes an agreed method and an area accessible to the required equipment.
Drainage, stump removal, road construction, major earthworks and planting are excluded. Equipment transport is agreed separately.
Transport and any small-site call-out charge are confirmed in the quote.
A marked work area, equipment access and information on ground conditions and known restrictions.
The agreed area and method are checked. Waterlogged, frozen or otherwise unsuitable ground may require different timing or a different approach.
Indicative starting rate. Final area, suitability, taxes and total price are confirmed in the written quote.
Pre-commercial thinning focuses on small-diameter young stands. Retained species, desired growing space and untouched areas are agreed first. Density and access affect the final scope and price.
Clear-cutting, harvester work, timber purchase or sale and extraction are excluded.
Transport and any small-site call-out charge are confirmed in the quote.
Boundaries, stand description, retained trees and known environmental or land-use restrictions.
Agreed retention principles and the treated area are checked. Cut material remains on site unless separately agreed otherwise.
Indicative starting rate. Final area, suitability, taxes and total price are confirmed in the written quote.
Replacement planting targets sparse or damaged parts of existing regeneration. The starting scope covers planting up to 1,000 replacement seedlings per agreed treated hectare. Numbers, suitable species and positions are confirmed during review.
Seedlings, their delivery, extensive ground preparation and denser planting are quoted separately.
Transport and any small-site call-out charge are confirmed in the quote.
Information on earlier planting, approximate losses and work-area boundaries.
The agreed replacement positions and extent of work are reviewed. Absolute seedling-survival guarantees are not given.
Indicative starting rate. Final area, suitability, taxes and total price are confirmed in the written quote.
An assessment helps distinguish missing seedlings, competing vegetation and maintenance needs. The agreed area is reviewed and findings and suggested actions are summarised. This is not a forest management plan or an official certified inventory.
Laboratory analysis, official forest inventory, legal advice and guaranteed grant eligibility are excluded.
Transport and any small-site call-out charge are confirmed in the quote.
Cadastral reference or map, access and existing planting or maintenance information.
The client receives a summary of the agreed observation area and findings. Conclusions reflect conditions at the time of the visit.
Indicative starting rate. Final area, suitability, taxes and total price are confirmed in the written quote.
Mechanical protection can help reduce wildlife-damage risk. The starting scope covers fitting up to 500 suitable guards per hectare where materials are available and suitable for the selected trees. The approach and quantity are confirmed first.
Guards, stakes and other materials, perimeter fencing, chemical treatment and repeat inspections are outside the base rate.
Transport and any small-site call-out charge are confirmed in the quote.
Selected trees, suitable guards and a defined work area. Materials can be covered by a separate quote.
The agreed quantity and fitting are checked. Complete prevention of wildlife damage cannot be guaranteed.
Indicative starting rate. Final area, suitability, taxes and total price are confirmed in the written quote.
The area stays the same while the task changes. The diagram distinguishes preparation, planting and later care. Choose a stage.
An example on the same hectare; base rates excluding VAT. Actual layout, planting density and timing are agreed for the site.
Give each operation its own area. The same ground may need several different operations, often at different times.
Enter 0 for work you do not need. Example buttons set the three core areas and reset additional services to zero. Each care visit uses the same area.
Every property is different. Work starts with a specific site and an agreement that fits it.
Share the location or cadastral reference, area and your objective.
We confirm conditions, method, quantities and total price in a written quote.
Work follows the site, season and applicable restrictions.
We review the result and record the treated area and follow-up needs.
The forest’s timing matters. Soil, weather, season and environmental restrictions affect method and scheduling. Care may take place well after planting.
The site sets the starting point.
This website presents Difograaf OÜ’s forest renewal and young-forest care services. Private individuals, businesses and authorised owners’ representatives can request work. Sites are in Estonia; the owner may live elsewhere.
Every quotation starts with a defined area and described work. We communicate in Estonian and English and clarify quantities, materials, access and terms before starting.

Get in touchYes. Services are for private forest owners, companies, managers and authorised representatives. We can also communicate with owners living abroad when the work site is in Estonia.
No. It is the labour base rate excluding VAT for planting approximately 2,000 seedlings per hectare on prepared land. The corresponding VAT-inclusive starting rate is €744/ha. The client supplies seedlings or they and their delivery are quoted separately. Soil preparation is a separate operation.
Not necessarily. The same hectare can receive soil preparation, later planting and subsequent care. Each operation then has a quantity of 1 ha, while the physical land area remains one hectare.
€400/ha is the base rate excluding VAT for one visit; including VAT it is €496/ha. If the same area needs two visits, the operation is priced twice. Actual repeat needs and timing are agreed from vegetation and young-tree conditions.
Yes. The calculator accepts hectares or square metres; 1 ha = 10,000 m². For example, 0.5 ha is 5,000 m². This is an area-based estimate. A small-site call-out, equipment transport, access and materials may affect the final price separately.
Suitable timing depends on the operation, seedling availability, site, weather and restrictions. A time window is confirmed after reviewing the site. Preparation, planting and care are distinct stages and need not happen in the same week.
A cadastral reference or marked map, approximate area, required service, access details and preferred time window are most useful. For planting, add species and whether seedlings are available. We can clarify details by telephone or at an agreed site review.
Send the location, approximate area and what you would like done. We will clarify scope, access and timing before preparing a suitable quotation.
